Dimitris Stoupakis was born in 1966 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

He graduated from Varvakeios School, Athens, in 1983.
He studied photography in E.M.E.F. School, Athens, in 1985.
He was trained as a photojournalist in a newspaper for a year and as an assistant in an advertising studio for one more year.

He lives and works in Athens, where he keeps his own photographic studio since 1988.

He works as a professional photographer with the leaders in various market fields, including magazines, advertising agencies, publications , hospitality industry and commercial companies.

Travelling, trekking, reading and his personal projects are his hobbies.
